West End Bake Off returns with virtual competition

West End Bake Off

On your marks, get set, BAKE! Theatre fans are being encouraged to get their bake on for the West End Bake Off, which will return this summer with a virtual competition.

Whilst tasting is sadly not on the menu this year, photographs of your home bakes can be sent in via Twitter and Instagram, using #WEBO2020.

Those on this year’s judging panel include Beverley Knight, Alexia McIntosh (Six) and Steven Carter-Bailey, who won the Great New Year Bake Off competition.

Knight said: "I am chuffed to be doing my bit to raise money for the Theatre Artists Fund by being a judge on this year’s Virtual West End Bake off! Seeing as I can't actually taste any of the goodies, I guess I am reluctantly doing my bit  for my waistline too, argh! It is brilliant to see that time and time again, our community comes together in times of need and always with an open heart. Good luck to everyone taking part!"

This year’s competition will raise money for the Theatre Support Fund and anyone entering is being asked to donate a minimum of £2 to the cause.

Entries can be sent in now and will close at midnight on Sunday 23 August.
