Yesterday saw the launch of the Theatre Super Auction, which will raise essential funds for workers in the theatre industry.

With over 1,100 theatres in the UK, this equates to hundreds of thousands of theatre employees who are still without work, with many not eligible for any government support. Also with 752 of the aforementioned theatres being regional, some venues are sadly having to close or enter redundancy consultations to stay afloat.

The auction, kindly operated free of charge by specialists Bid-In Group, will raise funds for the Theatres Trust, Acting for Others and Theatre Artists Fund. It has been designed to be accessible for all and alongside the bidding process, there is also the chance to donate and enter a draw to win some amazing prizes.

Items to bid on include:

2 x VIP tickets to see Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway donated by Andrew Lloyd Webber (including 2 x BA Business Class flights and a 3 night stay in New York hotel)

VIP tickets to Sister Act plus a meet and greet with Whoopi Goldberg & Jennifer Saunders

Press night tickets for Frozen London and passes for the after-show party

Afternoon tea with Miriam Margolyes and exclusive Harry Potter memorabilia

Martin McDonagh’s hand-annotated shooting script for his BAFTA-winning film, Three Billboards Outside Of Ebbing, Missouri

Valentino jewellery from Joan Collins

A chance to watch the English National Ballet from the wings

Dame Judi Dench said: “We greatly appreciate this exciting fundraiser to support the Arts. The work of the theatrical charities is vitally important to help our industry survive and the Theatre Super Auction is a wonderful way support our cause.”

You haven’t got long as the auction closes on Sunday 26 July at 10pm. Click here to get bidding!
