The Curve Theatre has today released the latest episode of its ‘Curve in Conversation’ podcast, looking ahead to its autumn line up of productions. The episode includes interviews with actor Sharon Phull, award-winning mind control master Derren Brown and director Anthony Almeida.

Almeida talks on the episode about his upcoming production of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’, which was originally due to run last year but will now run from 3 to 18 September. He discusses how he has continued to work with designer Rosanna Vize and how their plans are set to challenge preconceptions of the drama.

Derren Brown discusses how the last 16 months have shaped the plans for his new tour ‘Showman’, which is due to run at the Curve from 19 to 23 October. He says ‘It’s been interesting to return to it because on the one hand I’m going to rewrite a few aspects, but on the other hand we’ve all leaned into precisely the feeling that show was about at its heart. It’s certainly a time for shared vulnerabilities and that’s a good thing’

Leicester based actor Sharan Phull talks about coming back to the Curve as part of the cast of ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’, having previously appeared in Made at Curve productions. She says that Curve ‘is like a second home to me because I was able to build my career there after I left university’.

‘Curve in Conversation’ is available to listen to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Soundcloud.
