Musical revue STARTING HERE, STARTING NOW to reopen Waterloo East Theatre

Following 16 months of closure, Waterloo East Theatre will reopen from 29 June 2021 with musical revue Starting Here, Starting Now.

Featuring West End stars Nikki Bentley, Gina Murray and Noel Sullivan, the piece has lyrics by Richard Maltby, music by David Shire, direction by the venue’s executive producer and artistic director Gerald Armin and musical direction by Inga Davis-Rutter.

This bold, extroverted journey takes the cast of three through the maze of modern relationships with its heart firmly on its sleeve in a fast-moving, ingratiating look at how love can go right, wrong or nowhere. 

Exploring Matlby and Shire’s catalogue of songs from their various early musicals, produced or otherwise, we find each song an impeccably crafted story, original, engaging and bursting with character, showcasing the versatility and charisma of its performer. 

Starting Here, Starting Now will run through until 18 July.
