LES DENNIS joins the cast of ‘Hairspray’ at London Coliseum
It has been announced that entertainment legend Les Dennis is set to join the upcoming London Coliseum production of ‘Hairspray’ in the role of Wilbur Turnblad.
He replaces Paul Merton in the role of Wilbur. Following the delays to the production due to the pandemic, Merton is now unfortunately unable to join the company due to long standing scheduling commitments.
Dennis will join Michael Ball, who returns to his Olivier Award winning role of Edna Turnblad, alongside Lizzie Bea who will play the role of Tracy Turnblad, Marisha Wallace as Motormouth Maybelle, Rita Simons as Velma Von Tussle and Jonny Amies as Link Larkin.
The full cast, which has also been announced today, includes Georgie Anderson as Amber Von Tussle, Kimani Arthur as Little Inez, Demot Canavan as Wilbur Turnblad at certain performances, Lori Haley Fox as female authority figure, Mari McGinlay as Penny Pingleton, Ashley Samuels as Seaweed J Stubbs and Michael Vinsen as Corny Collins, alongside Imogen Bailey, Pearce Barron, Jordan Benjamin, Joel Cooper, Luke George, Christopher Gopaul, Bradley Judge, Winny Herbert, Lily Laight, Madeleine Lawton, Holly Liburd, Will Luckett, Mireia Mambo, Kody Mortimer, Robyn Rose, Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, Amy West and Natalie Woods.
