Casting has been announced for the UK tour of Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black, which opens at the Cambridge Arts Theatre tonight, following a sell-out run in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Woman in Black tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over his family by the spectre of a women in black. He engages a young actor to help him to tell his story and exorcise the feat that grips him. It begins innocently enough, but as they delve into his darkest memories the borders between make-believe and reality begin to blur.

The tour, which will adhere to all necessary Covid-19 regulations, will star Robert Goodale as Arthur Kipps and Antony Eden as The Actor. As part of the show’s commitment to helping young people experience live theatre, persons under the age of 25 will be able to get tickets for £25 at certain venues.

After opening at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, the show will then visit Bath, Guilford, Oxford, Malvern, Shrewsbury, Manchester, Brighton, Glasgow, York, Blackpool, Stoke and Edinburgh with further dates to be announced in due course.
