WEST SIDE STORY triumph at 2022 Golden Globe Awards

The winners of the 2022 Golden Globe Awards were revealed last night in a non-televised ceremony, with West Side Story picking up three gongs at the event.

Stephen Spielberg’s remake picked up the award for ‘Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Picture’, with Rachel Zegler winning for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical’ and Ariana DeBose winning for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture’.

Andrew Garfield also deservedly won the award for ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical’ for his role as Jonathan Larson in tick, tick…boom!, with Disney’s Encanto winning for Best Animated Picture.
