West End run of Six the Musical extends by 11 weeks
Producers of Six the Musical have announced an 11-week extension to its West End run.
The production is scheduled to begin performances at the Lyric Theatre on 5 December, pending the announcement of new regional tiers on Thursday.
A spokesperson said that even if London is placed in the highest tier, "there will be 11 additional weeks to catch Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss's smash hit before it returns to the Arts Theatre."
It has been revealed that the upcoming London production will include new set elements, planned to be introduced for its Broadway opening, and revised costumes.
The West End cast will feature Jarnéia Richard-Noel, Courtney Bowman, Natalie Paris, Alexia McIntosh, Sophie Isaacs, Danielle Steers, Zara Macintosh, Cherelle Jay, Hana Stewart and Collette Guitart.
Producers Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes and George Stiles said: "We have been thrilled and overwhelmed by the response for tickets. Audiences are obviously desperate to get back to the theatre. We hope that after several false starts we will be able to proceed in London and Salford as planned."
It is also hoped that performances will be permitted to proceed in Salford next month, pending tier assignment.
