London production of Aladdin coming soon to Disney+

The West End production of Aladdin will be the next filmed stage production to arrive on Disney+.

A special performance of the show was recorded at the Prince Edward Theatre in London last year, starring Trevor Dion Nicholas as the Genie, shortly before the end of its run in the West End.

Filmed On Stage said: ”Aladdin was initially planned to be released earlier this year, however, Disney changed its release schedule when they fast-tracked Hamilton to Disney+ from its original October 2021 cinema release.”

Disney said that the release date will be announced soon, although rumours circulating believe the show will be available to watch on Disney+ later this year.
