THE NOTEBOOK musical to receive pre-Broadway run at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in March 2022

It has been announced that Chicago Shakespeare Theater will host the world premiere of Broadway-bound musical The Notebook, running from 15 March-24 April 2022.

Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel and popular 2004 film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, the new musical features music and lyrics by singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunstetter, with direction by Broadway powerhouses Michael Greif and Schele Williams, musical direction by Carmel Dean and choreography by Katie Spelman.

The Notebook chronicles the decades-long love story between a mill worker named Noah and a privileged debutante named Allie. Beginning with a whirlwind summer romance, their love affair spans an entire lifetime-in spite of the differences that threaten to pull them apart.
