THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS (THE MUSICAL!) to play in the West End

The five-time Drama Desk Award-nominated musical theatre parody The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) is heading to the Phoenix Arts Club for two performances only on 20 & 21 May.

This hilarious, 90-minute parody of the very best of musical theatre tells one simple story—an ingénue struggling to pay her rent—five times, each in the distinctive style of legendary composers: Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Kander & Ebb. Busting out all over with clever references and plenty-a showtune, The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) is a must-see for every Broadway Baby.

Following successful productions in New York and beyond, The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) continues to delight audiences with its razor-sharp wit, Razzle Dazzle performances, and Perfectly Marvellous celebration of musical theatre’s most beloved shows. With its clever pastiches and playful nods to musical theatre’s biggest names, the show has captivated theatre lovers, Ladies Who Lunch and critics alike, cementing its status as a must-see event for every musical theatre fan.

The production will be directed and produced by Matty Hurst, with musical direction by Jack Bennett. Further casting and creative team will be announced soon.

The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) has music by Eric Rockwell, lyrics by Joanne Bogart, and a book by Eric Rockwell & Joanne Bogart.
