The Goes Wrong Show & The Red Shoes included in Christmas programming on BBC

The Goes Wrong Show Nativity

The BBC’s festive TV line-up has been announced, which includes a great selection for the theatre fans amongst us.

Joining the previously announced broadcast of Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes is the filmed stage version of Uncle Vanya, a new “Nativity” episode of The Goes Wrong Show by Mischief Comedy and David Mitchell will return for a lockdown episode of Upstart Crow.

The Royal Opera All Star Gala, pre-recorded in September, will also be shown featuring performances from Aigul Akhmetshina, Charles Castronovo, Gerald Finley, Lisette Oropesa, Sonya Yoncheva, and Vito Priante. The full Royal Ballet Company will also perform with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House for the first time since March.

Broadcast dates will be revealed in due course.
