The Cockpit Theatre announces socially distanced festive line-up

Perfect Christmas

Marylebone’s Cockpit Theatre – the only custom built theatre in-the-round in central London – reopened to socially distanced audiences back in July and is now pleased to announce a 2020 Christmas Season.

A Perfect Christmas is a festive cabaret show, directed and devised by Tim McArthur. It promises to bring together “the magic of a traditional Christmas with carols, songs, poems and all sorts of holly jolly fun”. The cast includes McArthur alongside Jo Wickham, Nathan Kiley (AKA Topsie Redfern) and Sarah Dearlove. The show is due to open on 24 November, running through to Christmas Eve.

A new children’s show entitled Christmas is Ruined! will also play from 25 November to 24 December. Written and directed by Kathryn Gardner, the show tells the story of Bo who discovers that there won’t be many presents this year. A recorded version of this show will also be made available online to those unable to attend in person.

To fit with government guidelines, capacity in the main auditorium has been reduced to 30 and the venue has been deemed Covid-secure.

Tickets for both shows can be purchased here.
