Southwark Playhouse announces new series of live streamed musical premieres

Southwark Playhouse

Southwark Playhouse has today announced that it will live stream three brand new musicals from its studio space over three weekends in December.

Firstly will be Luke Bateman and Michael Conley’s The Fabulist Fox Sister, which will be performed by Conley in a fully staged production on 4 & 5 December. Loosely based on a true story, the new musical is set towards the end of the 19th century and follows the story of Kate Fox, who accidentally invents seances. The piece is directed by Adam Lenson with musical supervision by Tamara Saringer.

The show has set and costume design by Libby Trodd and is directed by Adam Lenson. Both Clarke and Forristal will perform the show and you can have a first listen here.

The third musical is entitled Stay Awake, Jake written by Tim Gilven and directed by Grace Taylor. The show will be presented on 18 & 19 December and explores modern ideas of love, responsibility and fatherhood. Casting is to be announced.
