Southwark Playhouse to live stream new musical starring Rosalie Craig & Hadley Fraser

Before After Rosalie Craig & Hadley Fraser

Southwark Playhouse will live stream a rehearsed reading of new musical, Before After, from the theatre on 25 & 26 September.

The show features music and lyrics by Stuart Matthew Price and a book/additional lyrics by Timothy Knapman, with direction by Matthew Rankcom and musical direction by Charlie Ingles.

The two-hander will star real-life husband and wife, Rosalie Craig (Company) and Hadley Fraser (City of Angels) as Ami and Ben respectively, a couple who recall their lives together in very different ways.

Before After will perform to an empty auditorium and will be live streamed for three performances only across two days.

Director Matthew Rankcom said: "There is such uncertainty for our industry at the moment, so we're trying to explore how theatre can adapt to become more accessible and viable in the current climate. By streaming this rehearsed reading in real time, we hope to re-capture some of the magic of live theatre and allow our actors and their audience to forge a new kind of connection."

Tickets are priced at £10 if purchased prior to the performance week.
