South London venue hosts charity concert to celebrate Black West End performers

Singing Proud

An evening of music showcasing Black West End performers will be held at the Stanley Halls in South London on 10 September at 7pm.

‘Singing Proud’ is directed and presented by Sharon Ballard and Tanya Edwards (Beautiful, Motown) and will feature performances from: Kelly Agbowu (Waitress, Les Miserables), Chanice Alexander-Burnett (Book of Mormon, Little Shop of Horrors), Kimmy Edwards (Dreamgirls, In the Heights), Dom Hartley-Harris (Hamilton, Bat Out Of Hell), Idriss Kargbo (Wicked, Five Guys Named Moe), AJ Lewis (Thriller, Porgy and Bess), Joshua Liburd (Motown, Book Of Mormon), Jay Marsh (Prince Of Egypt, Porgy and Bess), Maria Omakinwa (Tina, The Bodyguard) and Cherelle Williams (Motown The Musical).

The socially distanced cabaret show will raise money for the Actors Benevolent Fund and the arts venue itself, who are known for championing minority artists.
