It has been reported that Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables) is currently involved in a workshop for Thelma & Louise: The Musical, based on the 1991 cult classic film, alongside Evan Rachel Wood (Frozen 2).

Seyfried missed the Golden Globes ceremony earlier this week, where she won an award for The Dropout, due to her deep involvement in making a musical.

In development for several years, the book is written by Haley Feiffer, with input from the film’s screenwriter Callie Khouri, a score by indie singer/songwriter Neko Case and direction by Trip Cullman.
