Original West End cast and creatives of Saturday Night Fever reunite for unique virtual event
Following the success of the From Here To Eternity reunion last month, Sim G Productions and Musical Theatre Radio have teamed up once more to produce the next in their ‘One Night Only’ series; this time bringing the original cast and creatives of 1998 West End musical, Saturday Night Fever, back together on Thursday 20 August from 7pm BST.
Using the same format as their previous event, the online discussion evening will see appearances by director/choreographer Arlene Phillips CBE and leading cast members Adam Garcia, Anita Louise Combe and Tara Overfield Wilkinson, plus other guests yet to be announced.
Director/Producer Simon Greiff will host the event, whereby the audience are encouraged to submit questions to the panel and may even be invited onto the virtual stage to ask their question in person.
The event will also show archive video material of the cast and will end with a virtual stage door mix and mingle.
The evening’s profits will be donated to Acting For Others, a charity who provide financial and emotional support to theatre workers.
The stage production of Saturday Night Fever is based on the 1977 film starring John Travolta, and was nominated for Best New Musical, Best Theatre Choreographer for Arlene Phillips and Best Actor in a Musical for Adam Garcia at the Olivier Awards.
The West End production transferred to Broadway in 1999 and has since toured internationally.
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased here.
To perform as part of this special event, please submit a video here of you performing a song from the stage production of Saturday Night Fever. The winners will receive tickets to the reunion and get the chance to be seen by an international audience, as well as cast and creatives from the show.
