Review: LA VOIX, The Eighth Wonder of the World - Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham

The eighth wonder of the world, La Voix, is currently touring the UK and you are all in for a treat!

Opening the show with sparkle, glitz and glamour and the most wonderful live vocals, the evening just gets better and better.

Having appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 and recently represented the UK in the soon to be seen Queen of the Universe for Paramount in the US, La Voix’s career is going from strength to strength and it is very well deserved.

With hilarious boundary pushing comedy (not for the easily offended), musical mimics from Tina Turner, Cher, Judy Garland, Shirley Bassey and Liza Minelli, which are not only incredibly funny but have everything right on the mark with their physicality and vocal sound, you could be forgiven for thinking they were pre-recorded by the stars themselves.

Backed by the remarkable talents of a four-piece band, led by Musical Director Dan Boardman, an evening with La Voix certainly has everything you need for an amazing night of entertainment.

The evening has a feel of camaraderie about it; it was welcoming and all delivered with fabulous costumes and the most polished perfect performance!

La Voix is undoubtedly a living legend. You will cry with laughter, dance in the aisles and leave wanting more!

Do not miss this incredible show, we already want to go again!

***** Five stars
