Review: DRAG QUEENS VS ZOMBIES, Gilded Balloon - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Award-winning drag artists Kate Butch and Crudi Dench are trying to put on one of their star-studded cabaret shows, only zombies want to crash it and eat their brains - naturally.

Can the feuding pair put their differences aside to save their audience from a gruesome flesh-eating death?

Drag Queens vs Zombies is a hilarious combination of musical performance, comedy and the small storyline of a zombie attack.

How on earth will the Queens save the world? What could possibly cure Zombies?

It’s a fast-paced performance that involves some audience participation (and not just the front row gets singled out) but it’s all light hearted, good fun and Kate Butch and Crudi Dench are certainly on top form. Although it would have been nice to see an actual zombie or even Elton John for that matter!

This is definitely a performance for anyone, whether you have seen a drag show before or are popping your drag cherry, it’s a great night out!

Crude, funny and just brilliant!

**** Four stars
