Remembering veteran panto star Andy Gray

Andy Gray

It has been announced today that comedian and veteran panto performer Andy Gray has passed away, aged 61.

The Scottish actor has appeared in pantomime for decades and was a regular fixture at Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre during the festive season. Sadly the 2020 panto he was set to star in at the venue was postponed due to the pandemic, along with a socially distanced run planned in Milton Keynes.

Gray also frequently performed at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of a theatre double act with Grant Stott.

He was a well-known face on TV as well, having appeared in City Lights and River City.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
