After operating a successful pilot scheme last year, Nimax Theatres have plans to open a Covid-19 testing hub for all of its employees across its six West End venues.

Prior to the London lockdown in December, Nimax ran a testing out of the Palace Theatre where employees were tested every 48 hours. This was offered at cost to producers of shows within the company-owned venues: the Apollo, Duchess, Garrick, Lyric, Palace and Vaudeville Theatres.

It was said that on the last Saturday before London theatres shutdown, 120 tests had been carried out to enable the show’s matinees to go ahead.

As soon as theatres are able to re-open, it is thought that the scheme will relaunch.

Fingers crossed, Besties!
