Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre announces full cast and creative team for ROBIN HOOD: THE LEGEND. RE-WRITTEN.

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre have announced the full cast and creative team for their forthcoming production of Robin Hood: The Legend. Re-written. by former Kneehigh Co-Artistic Director Carl Grose, running from 17 June – 22 July.

The cast includes Charlotte Beaumont (The Lovely Bones, Birmingham Rep) as Little Joan, Nandi Bhebhe (Wuthering Heights, St Anne's Warehouse Brooklyn/National Theatre) as The Balladeer/Jenny, Stephanie Marion Fayerman (Dreamland, Sky Atlantic) as Betty, Dave Fishley (The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar, Perth Theatre & Scottish Tour) as Bob Much, Samuel Gosrani (Hedda Gabler, The Richard Burton Theatre Company) as Will Scatlocke, TJ Holmes (Wuthering Heights, Wise Children/National Theatre) as Brasswilt/Robin Hood), Paul Hunter (La Cage aux Folles, Park Theatre) as The King, Katherine Manners (The Mirror Crack'd, Salisbury Playhouse & tour) as Simpkins, Shaun Yusuf McKee (War Horse, National Theatre/West End) as Brokebrick/Robin Hood, Alex Mugnaioni (Jules and Jim, Jermyn St Theatre) as Baldwyn,  Simon Oskarsson (Claus – The Musical, The Lowry) as Boneweather/Robin Hood, Ellen Robertson (Friends and Nothing More, Soho Theatre/Edinburgh Fringe) as Marian, Dumile Sibanda (Bird & Bees, Sheffield Theatres & Tour) as Woodnut, Ira Mandela Siobhan (Equus, ETT and Trafalgar Studios) as Gisburne, Elexi Walker (A Christmas Carol, The Rose Theatre) as Mary Tuck, and musicians Amena Alicia El-Kindy, Taya Ming and Marta Miranda.

Prepare for a thrilling new take on the classic tale, set in a desperate, divided kingdom where only the truly cunning can outwit the sheriff’s terrifying wrath. Promising humour, heart and a forest full of secrets, expect the arrows to fly in a bold new direction as trickery and truth collide with fiery results.

Told with epic storytelling, stirring songs, and absolutely no green tights (well, maybe just a flash), in the ancient, wooded heart of Regent’s Park, Robin Hood is a riotous folk tale for our times.

The creative team includes director Melly Still, movement director Mike Ashcroft, illusion designer John Bulleid, musical director Joley Cragg, casting director Polly Jerrold, sound designer Emma Laxton, composer and musical supervisor Jenny Moore, lighting designer Zoe Spurr, set designer Chiara Stephenson, and costume designer Samuel Wye.
