QDOS begin consultations with partner venues over pantomime season

QDOS Pantomimes

Sadly pantomime this year is looking less and less likely. In a statement made on Twitter today, QDOS Pantomimes have started a consultation process with partner theatres about the “viability of each show”.

QDOS previously mentioned that they needed a plan for reopening by 1 August, otherwise productions would be postponed or cancelled due to the lack of guidance.

Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden announced last week that it would be November before we may know when performances without social distancing can take place. Because of this, production companies and venues will have insufficient time to plan for their Christmas shows.

QDOS has said that plans or postponements of their productions will be announced by the venues individually rather than as a whole, which may take several weeks.
