Park Theatre in North London have announced their reopening plans. The theatre, which has been being refurbished, will open on 4 August.

It will open with Tori-Allen Martin’s play Park Bench, with the play’s 10-minute first act available online now, and act two will run live at the theatre from 4 to 14 August.

Ghost story When Darkness Falls, written by James Milton and Paul Morrissey, will follow from 18 August to 4 September.

The season will also include A Place for We, which is co-produced by the theatre and theatre company Talawa, whom they have partnered with to adapt the story by Archie Maddocks. This will run from 7 October to 6 November.

There will also be the chance to see Oxford School of Drama performing new work 39 and Counting, running from 8 to 11 September.

Park Theatre has undergone some extensive refurbishments during the lockdown in which its front of house area has been enlarged, and a new mezzanine extension has been built which provides more space to eat and drink.

The downstairs bar has been extended and now includes an open plan pizza kitchen, with the former kitchen being transformed into a new box office space and has improved accessibility for customers.

TV screens have been installed for both Park200 and Park90 spaces so that latecomers will not miss productions, before taking their seats.
