New production of WONDERFUL TOWN to be staged at Opera Holland Park this summer

A new production of the musical Wonderful Town will take to the stage at Opera Holland Park from 1-4 July, starring Louise Dearman and Siubhan Harrison.

Produced by Quick Fantastic, Dearman will play Ruth and Harrison will play Eileen, leading a company of 14 performers.

The piece will be directed by Alastair Knights, with musical direction by Alex Parker, and choreography by Carrie Ingrouille.

Wonderful Town tells the story of two sisters who aspire to be a writer and actress respectively, seeking success from their basement apartment in New York City’s Greenwich Village.

The musical has a book written by Joseph A. Fields and Jerome Chodorov, with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and music by Leonard Bernstein.
