New horror play to be staged at the Union Theatre next month
A brand new horror play, When Darkness Falls, will be staged at the Union Theatre next month.
Set on an island with a large amount of paranormal activity, the show will be directed by Paul Morrissey with lighting by Ben Bull, sound by Tom Marshall and illusions by John Bulleid, who worked on the magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The two-hander will feature Will Barton as John Blondel and Alex Phelps as the Speaker.
Director and co-writer, Paul Morrissey, said: "In many ways, maybe we're all haunted. By the past. By regret. By shame. By things that have embedded themselves deep within us. A kind of trauma, that we relive. As we ‘see' these events unfold, again and again, it's quite clear that ghosts are very real. When Darkness Falls is a spine-chilling new play about the power of stories. Perhaps most importantly, the ones we tell ourselves."
When Darkness Falls runs from 23 November - 12 December, with discounted tickets offered from 23 - 25 November.
