Les Miserables - The Staged Concert returns to the West End this December

Following a sensational medley of West End musical performances on Britain’s Got Talent this evening, Cameron Mackintosh announced that Les Miserables - The Staged Concert will return to the West End for a limited season from 5 December 2020.

Taking place at the Sondheim Theatre for six weeks until 17 January 2021, the concert coincides with the musical’s 35th anniversary and will star Michael Ball as Javert, Matt Lucas as Thenadier, Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean (John Owen-Jones at certain performances) and Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine, plus a company of over 50 actors and musicians.

Mackintosh said: The beautiful new Sondheim Theatre will re-open its doors so audiences can once again leap to their feet thrilled by Victor Hugo’s timelessly uplifting story of the survival of the human spirit told through Boublil and Schönberg amazing iconic score – Let The People Sing.  Happy Christmas to us all.”

Social distancing measures will be in place on stage, in the auditorium and throughout the building.
