New company creates musical theatre performances for celebratory events
In a pledge to provide employment opportunities for performers and creatives who are currently out of work due to the pandemic, a brand new company has been set up to create musical theatre performances for celebratory events.
Headed up by writer Michael Gyngell (Summer Holiday, Club Tropicana), The Musical Theatre Factory will write personalised musicals for customers, who will provide a list of their favourite songs to be incorporated.
Musical supervisor and arranger Greg Arrowsmith, choreographer Philip Joel and composer Stephen Keeling are already on board as creative associates.
Gyngell said: "I’m passionate about the power of music to recall a significant moment from our lives and the nature of musicals to enhance and intensify any emotion.
"Putting real life experiences, and the soundtrack to that life, together will make any special occasion even more memorable and unique.
"Our company of skilled professionals is dedicated to bringing each celebration to musical life."
