It has been announced that Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Fèis Thatha will partner up to bring ‘Alice in Wonderland’ alive in a new interactive sight and sound outdoor adventure this summer.

Set in the Explorers’ Garden, ‘Alice in Wonderland World’ will invite audiences along on an interactive journey as they travel along the Playing Card Pathway, through the Mad Hatter’s Tea party, a gigantic game of chess in the Red Queen’s Pillared Garden, the White Queen’s Palace, see the giant caterpillar and search for the Cheshire cat.

Audiences will be sent a link to a new app from the theatre to download ahead of time that will bring their journey to life and also share tips on how to make your own easy costumes and dress up to make your visit more memorable. The story will be both in English and in Gaelic.

Amy Liptrott, who has written the script and directed the sound design, has said ‘Alice in Wonderland is a brilliant adventure story. She is so intrepid and meets such great characters, it has been a lot of fun to work on the script with the actors and sound design team to place Alice in Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s beautiful Explorers’ Garden. The chance to work on this piece in Gaelic with Fèis Thatha has been exciting. We are celebrating these langauges and their place in the landscape of our highland Perthshire home. We’re really excited to share Alice’s adventures with you’

‘Alice in Wonderland World’ runs from July 17 to 12 September and you can book your tickets here http://www.pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com/
