NaTasha Yvette Williams to star as Zelma in TINA on Broadway
Producers of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical have announced that NaTasha Yvette Williams will take over the role of Zelma from 4 February at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Williams was most recently seen on Broadway in Chicken and Biscuits as Brianna and previously in Chicago as Mama Morton, Waitress as Becky, A Night With Janis Joplin as Aretha and Joplinaire, The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess as Mariah, and The Color Purple as Sofia.
Dawnn Lewis, who originated the role of Zelma in the Broadway production, will play her final performance on 30 January.
