Musical adaptation of THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE in development

The Time Traveller's Wife

Audrey Niffenegger's best-selling novel, The Time Traveller’s Wife, is set to adapted into a musical with a stellar creative team attached.

Currently in development, the musical will feature a book by America’s most produced playwright, Lauren Gunderson, and music by Grammy award-winning singer Joss Stone and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics (Ghost the Musical). Sister Act the Musical Director Bill Buckhurst is also currently on board to helm the project.

The Time Traveller’s Wife tells the love story of Henry, a man, with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and about Clare, his wife, an artist, who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences of reappearing in odd places.

The novel was adapted into a film in 2009, starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana.

Production dates and casting will be announced in due course but it is expected that the show will premiere in the UK in late 2021/early 2022.

How exciting, Besties!
