The hit Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! has released a special performance video recorded on stage.

Featuring Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo in the show’s leading roles, the video shows the pair performing ‘Come What May’, in a moment that is a bittersweet reflection on the show as it remains closed during the pandemic. Broadway is due to be closed until the middle of next year.

There is some good news for the production though as it picked up an incredible 14 Tony Award nominations, including Tveit being the only nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. He still needs 60% of the vote to win though.

Moulin Rouge! is set to transfer to the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre in Autumn 2021. The show is an adaptation of the 2001 movie of the same name, starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman, telling the story of a group of bohemian artists trying to gain favour in Montmartre in Paris.
