It has been announced that Jamie Bell and Margaret Qualley will star in a new feature film, telling the untold real love story between the legendary Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

With a screenplay by Arash Amel and direction by Jonathan Entwistle, Fred & Ginger goes behind the beloved stage personas of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, examining what individually drove them while celebrating the creative magic between them.

The lead stars are no strangers to difficult choreography, both having backgrounds in dance. Bell starred as Billy Elliot in the 2000 film and Qualley’s skills can be seen in Fosse/Verdon.

Fred and Ginger’s partnership spanned 16 years and can be seen in ten films: Flying Down to Rio, The Gay Divorcee, Roberta, Top Hat, Follow the Fleet, Swing Time, Shall We Dance, Carefree, The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle and The Barkleys of Broadway.
