Broadway’s American Utopia released for UK viewing

David Byrne and Spike Lee’s hit Broadway show American Utopia is now available to watch on demand in the UK and can be pre-ordered on DVD ahead of its release in January 2021.

The 2019 critically-acclaimed concert production features David Byrne’s songs from his American Utopia album, plus hits from his time as frontman of Talking Heads.

With choreography and musical staging by Annie-B Parson, the show features David Byrne himself, along with Jacquelene Acevedo, Gustavo Di Dalva, Daniel Freedman, Chris Giarmo, Tim Keiper, Tendayi Kuumba, Karl Mansfield, Mauro Refosco, Stéphane San Juan, Angie Swan, and Bobby Wooten III.

The lighting is by Rob Sinclair, sound by Pete Keppler and musical direction by Karl Mansfield and Mauro Refosco.
