Incredible line-up announced for WONDERMENT: MAGIC & ILLUSION in the West End

Wonderment line up

An incredible line-up has been announced for Wonderment: Magic & Illusion, which opens at The Palace Theatre in the West End from 16 July through to 30 August 2021.

The new vaudevillian magical journey will feature the previously announced Chris Cox (Chris Cox’s Mind-Boggling Magic, CBBC) and Josephine Lee (Britain’s Got Talent, ITV), along with newly announced Young & Strange, Edward Hilsum, Amazí and Symoné. Audiences will be wowed with breath-taking illusions and amazing acrobatics along with some wonderful hula hooping finesse.

Wonderment: Magic & Illusion will be a variety performance with lots of magical disciplines involved. Chris Cox is a multi-award-winning mind reader who has had sold out UK tours. Josephine Lee took audiences by storm with her illusion performances on Britain’s Got Talent and has gone on to become one of the most talked about women in magic.

Young & Strange is comprised of stage illusionists Richard Young and Sam Strange, who you may remember as the pair who videobombed a Sky News broadcast. The pair create online video content, which showcases original and exciting formats alongside their live performances.

Edward Hislum, who starred alongside Strange & Young for five years, has won critical acclaim for his Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows and was invited to be part of the London Olympics opening ceremony. He is The Magic Circle Triple Crown Champion and is the only person to win all three and hold all three at the same time. He will be delighting audiences with his mind boggling tricks.

Amazí is an international hula-hooper who will be taking to the stage from 16 – 26 July and then 18 – 28 August, Symoné will then bridge the gap performing between 28 July – 16 August and will combine hula-hooping, roller skating and psychedelic dance style. The pair hold a Guinness World Record with their hoop troupe Marawa’s Majorettes.

An ensemble cast will be comprised of Louise Douglas, Annalisa Midolo, Lee Pratt and Mervin Noronha.

Director, Annabel Mutale Reed said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be creating Wonderment: Magic & Illusion with world class performers, who are bringing their greatest acts to the West End this summer. Audiences have been making memories at The Palace Theatre for 130 years, and we are delighted to be filling its stage with a vibrant 2021 twist on an oldfashioned variety show. It is an exhilarating show that really has to be seen to be believed!”

Tickets for the show are available and priced between £19.50 - £59.50. There will be further guest acts announced so keep your eyes peeled, Besties!
