Kevin Clifton, Faye Tozer and full casting announced for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN at Sadlers Wells Theatre

Producers of the Olivier Award-nominated musical Singin’ in the Rain have today announced that Kevin Clifton, Faye Tozer, Charlotte Gooch and Cavin Cornwall will join Adam Cooper in its upcoming production at Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

The production will play a strictly limited run at the London venue from Friday 30 July – Sunday 5 September 2021 ahead of a 2022 UK tour, with tour casting to be announced.

Former professional on Strictly Come Dancing Kevin Clifton will play Cosmo Brown; Steps and stage star Faye Tozer will play leading lady Lina Lamont; Charlotte Gooch (Strictly Ballroom, Top Hat) will play aspiring actress Kathy Seldon; and Cavin Cornwall (Aladdin, Jesus Christ Superstar) will play film producer, RF Simpson.

They will join the acclaimed star Adam Cooper, who returns to the show with his legendary performance as Don Lockwood, having earned critical acclaim in the role at Chichester Festival Theatre and again when the show transferred to London’s Palace Theatre. Adam is one of the most celebrated stars to perform at Sadler’s Wells, where he has headlined Matthew Bourne’s iconic production of Swan Lake, as well as many other productions.

Further casting includes Sandra Dickinson as Dora Bailey, Michael Matus as Roscoe Dexter and Imogen Brook as Zelda Zanders. The ensemble features Briana Craig, Alistair Crosswell, Lavinia Fitzpatrick, Alex Given, Ryan Gover, Ashleigh Graham, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Molly Rees Howe, Thomas Inge, Robin Kent, Sam Lips, Joshua Lovell, George Lyons, Heather Scott Martin, Amonik Melaco, Ashleigh Morris, Peter Nash, Megan Spiers, and Ellie May Wilson.

Singin’ in the Rain will also reunite the original director Jonathan Church with choreographer Andrew Wright, with design by Simon Higlett and lighting by Tim Mitchell.
