IN THE HEIGHTS film release date brought forward in UK & Ireland

It has been announced that the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s award-winning musical In The Heights will be released earlier than planned in the UK, now premiering on 25 June 2021.

The film, directed by Jon M Chu, was previously scheduled to be released in the UK and Ireland on 30 July, with the US getting it slightly earlier on 18 June 2021.

It will be released on HBO Max and in cinemas at the same time in America but there are no streaming plans for the UK at present.

The film adaptation stars Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Dascha Polanco, Stephanie Beatriz, Corey Hawkins and Melissa Barrera, with Lin-Manuel Miranda also appearing as Piragüero.
