HELLO DOLLY! revival eyes up 2023 West End opening

Despite original plans to open in August 2020, it now seems that Hello Dolly! is eyeing up a West End run in 2023, with Imelda Staunton starring as Dolly Levi.

Due to Staunton appearing as the Queen in Season 5 of popular Netflix series, The Crown, her availability is tied up for the foreseeable future. However, it seems that a combination of the pandemic delaying plans and producers wanting to keep their desired leading lady on board, has meant that 2023 is looking more likely.
