Further casting announced for THE RHYTHMICS at Southwark Playhouse

Producers have announced further casting for the premiere of brand-new musical The Rhythmics, which will play at the Southwark Playhouse from 2 December 2021-8 January 2022.

Joining the previously announced Noel Sullivan (School of Rock, Gavin and Stacey) as ‘Grey’ and Zweyla Mitchell Dos Santos as ‘Silvia’ will be Ken Christiansen (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, It’s a Sin) as ‘Nick’, Kinny Gardner (Godspell, The Rocky Horror Show) as Sid, Rebecca Hayes (A Christmas Carol, The Pact) as ‘Robin’, Andrew Patrick-Walker (Brooklyn the Musical, The Muppets Most Wanted) as ‘Jeremy’, Joshua Steel (Aladdin, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat) as ‘Connor’, and Phil Snowden (Billy Elliot, Bridgerton) as ‘Dennis’.

The musical will be directed by Metta Theatre’s Artistic Director P Burton-Morgan, who also wrote the book and lyrics, with music and lyrics from Stiles and Drewe award winner Ben Glasstone. It is choreographed by Mark Smith, with musical direction by Erika Gundesen, musical supervision by Ellie Verkerk, sound by James Nicholson, set and lighting design by Will Reynolds, and costumes by Francine Huin-Wah.

A new music video for one of the numbers in the show ‘Daddy, You’re My Hero’ has been released too, which sees the leads coming together to perform together for the first time.
