Further details have been announced about Disenchanted, Disney’s musical sequel to its hit 2007 film Enchanted, directed by Adam Shankman.

Tipped for a Disney Plus release in 2022, the cast includes the aforementioned Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel; all reprising their roles from the original film. Newly released casting includes Maya Rudolph as Malvina, Kolton Stewart as Malvina's son, Yvette Nicole Brown as Rosalyn, Jayma Mays as Ruby, Oscar Nunez as Edgar and Gabriella Baldacchino making her feature film debut as the now-grown up Morgan.

More details have also been released about the plot: “Fifteen years after Enchanted, Giselle moves to the suburb of Monroeville with Robert and their teenage daughter Morgan, where she must juggle the challenges that come with a new home and discover what happily ever after truly means to her and her new family."

Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz will return to write the film's songs, with Menken also returning to compose the score.

On her Instagram earlier this month, Amy Adams revealed that she is currently in Ireland filming for Disenchanted.

So close, Besties!
