Full casting announced for new filmed version of Romeo & Juliet

Romeo & Juliet

The full cast for a new filmed production of Romeo & Juliet has been announced, with many stage and screen stars joining Dear Evan Hansen star Sam Tutty and 2019 Mountview graduate Emily Redpath in the title roles. 

The production will star a number of recent graduates including Daniel Bowerbank as Benvolio, Slyvester Akinrolabu as Tybalt, Timmy Driscoll as Sam, Iskander Eton as Abe and Ollie Tennant as Balthasar. They will be joined by Jonny Labey as Paris, Brandon Bassir as Mercutio, Helen Anker as Capulet, Mark Ozall as Montague, Lucy Tregear as Nurse, Vinta Morgan as Friar, Jessica Murrain as Prince and Tats Nyazika as Gregory. Stage legend Derek Jacobi also appears as the narrator. 

The show was filmed with all of the safety procedures in place to mitigate risk and keep creatives safe and is directed by Nick Evans, with assistant direction by Gwenan Bain. 

The show will be streamed online from Saturday 13 February to Saturday 20 February, and tickets are on sale now here.
