Due to not being entitled to public funding, London’s Finborough Theatre has launched a Crowdfunder appeal to prevent its permanent closure.

The fundraiser is part of the Theatre Trust’s #SaveOurTheatres campaign, which is a national initiative to ensure the longevity of our UK venues.

The Finborough Theatre should have celebrated its 40-year anniversary this year but sadly has had to cancel its programme for the rest of the year, due to the pandemic.

The theatre has been able to stream some archive recordings of its productions for free on their Youtube channel as part of the #FinboroughForFree series, with subtitled versions also available on the Scenesaver website here.

The venue hopes to raise £25,000 and the campaign will run until 8 November 2020. To donate to the cause, please click here.
