European premiere of award-winning musical THE BAND’S VISIT announced

The award-winning musical The Band’s Visit will receive its European premiere at the Donmar Warehouse from 24 September-3 December, it has been announced.

This new production will be directed by the venue’s artistic director Michael Longhurst and has music/lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Itamar Moses. Casting and further members of the creative team will be revealed at a later date.

The Band’s Visit tells the story of a group of musicians who mistakenly come to Israel from Egypt.

The Broadway production won 10 Tony Awards and a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.
