Donmar Warehouse announces further programming for 2022

The Donmar Warehouse have announced further programming for their 2022 season of productions.

The season includes the European premieres of two major Broadway shows: A Doll’s House, Part 2, written by Lucas Hnath and starring Noma Dumezweni from 10 June-6 August, and the previously reported The Band’s Visit by David Yazbek and Itamar Moses from 24 September – 3 December, directed by Michael Longhurst.

Breaking new ground as a platform for a new generation of young performers, 12 young actors will make their stage debut alongside current leading actors in Dawn Kin’s, The Trials from 12 – 27 August, a courtroom drama which deepens the investigation into the climate crisis and sustainability practices and the impact this will have on the next generation.

Silence is a co-production in collaboration with Tara Theatre to mark the 75th anniversary of Partition in India, inspired by extraordinary testimony and acknowledgment of events and adapted from Kavita Puri’s Partition Voices: Untold British Stories, running from 1 – 17 September.

Also announced, an exhibition by Donmar Associate artist, Joan Iyiola, from 6 May in its foyer spaces, WE. BLACK WOMEN. With leading actresses celebrating their unsung heroes and shifting perspective on British history, which will run alongside the already announced Marys Seacole
