Enjoy comedy, magic and mayhem with Malvern’s panto funnyman Mark James this festive season

Mark James

Whilst their annual panto might not be able to go ahead this year, Malvern Theatre’s favourite panto comedian Mark James will return to the Festival stage with his very own one-man comedy magic show later this month.

So this Christmas, re-live those unforgettable panto moments with an hour of magic, mind-reading, plate-spinning and family panto silliness for everyone to enjoy.

2020 marks James’ fourth year at Malvern Theatres after playing Cinderella’s Buttons alongside Alison Hammond, Su Pollard’s side-kick Muddles in Snow White, and the loveable Wishee Washee in last year’s hit Aladdin alongside John Challis. Mark was due to return as Smee in this year’s pantomime Peter Pan, which has sadly been postponed until Christmas 2021 due to the pandemic.

James said: “Where's me Mates???...  I'm super excited to have been asked by the theatre to put on my one man show A Magical Christmas Cracker after receiving the sad news that Panto had to cancel.  I'm hoping to bring lots of laughter, magic and panto silliness to Malvern. The spirit of Panto lives on this year and I am so touched by all the well wishes and messages from the audience that are looking forward to a fun packed show".

A Magical Christmas Cracker runs at Malvern Theatres from 26-31 December 2020. For more information and to book tickets, please click here.
