Elaine Paige joins Pantoland at the Palladium cast

Elaine Paige

With last week’s exciting news that pantomime will return to the London Palladium this year, it has now been announced that Elaine Paige will also be returning to the famous home of variety, reprising her role at Queen Rat from the 2017/18 production of Dick Whittington.

In a show entitled Pantoland at the Palladium, this production is set to run at 2 hours and 15 minutes long and will be an adventure through a number of different stories, told by a plethora of stars who have performed in previous Palladium pantos.

Paige joins Julian Clary, Nigel Havers, Ashley Banjo and Diversity, Paul Zerdin, Gary Wilmot, Beverley Knight and Charlie Stemp. The cast also includes Jac Yarrow, a newbie to the Palladium panto but no stranger to the stage, having played the title role in Joseph and the amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat last summer.

Pantoland’s creative team includes director Michael Harrison, choreographer Karen Bruce, costume designer Hugh Durrant, set designer Ian Westbrook, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Gareth Owen and composer/orchestrator Gary Hind.

This festive production has been aided by the National Lottery, as part of a new scheme designed to support panto through ticket buying schemes.

Pantoland at the Palladium is set to run from 12 December 2020 to 3 January 2021, with tickets on sale now here.
