The acclaimed production Dumbledore Is So Gay and its stellar cast will arrive at The Pleasance for a limited run from 21 September to 26 September.

A five-star VAULT Festival sell-out show, Dumbledore Is So Gay tells the story of a noughties teenager, Jack. Sorted into Hufflepuff and pining after his best friend, Jack uses a Time Turner to re-write his history, get the guy, defeat the bullies, and right the wrongs. The play highlights the damaging connotations ‘gay’ carried throughout school-life and across the playground in the noughties. It champions love, resilience, and leaving the world a better place than it was when you arrived.

The play’s writer, Robert Holtom is thrilled to have the original cast back for this run, saying: “I'm over the moon the original cast are back. They made magic in 2020 and I can't wait to see them do it all over again. Alex, Charlotte and Max bring such skill and depth to their roles, switching between sincerity and humour on a dime. We were all so keen to keep the show going and it’s such a privilege to have the team reunited.”

The show is directed by Tom Wright and stars Alex Britt, Max Percy, and Charlotte Dowding. The run time is approximately 55 minutes and tickets are available here
