An outrageously funny drag troupe takes on the music and legacy of Andrew Lloyd Webber in TW*TS at Birmingham’s Old Joint Stock Theatre from 8-10 June, with their fully unauthorised tongue-in-cheek cabaret show.

Send In The Clowns is a raucous, wild, and tantalising drag revue show celebrating the magic and madness of musical theatre, which returns to Birmingham with their fifth show.

This time, the Clowns are taking on the Lord himself, with a celebration-cum-assassination of the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber in their most outrageous show yet - TW*TS! (yes, like CATS).

Audiences can expect unique takes on Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and ‘highlights’ from some of Webber’s biggest flops.

The show is hosted and created by cabaret superstar and “incredible vocal powerhouse” (West End Best Friend), and the winner of Drag Idol UK, Fatt Butcher. Butcher is joined by a stellar line-up of the Midlands’ finest drag and cabaret talents including Dahliah Rivers, Blü Romantic, and Alanna Boden.

Rapidly becoming a sell-out cult event at the Old Joint Stock Theatre, Send In The Clowns: TW*TS promises an unforgettably raucous show packed with outrageous comedy, spine-tingling live vocals, camp cabaret, lip-syncs, & sing-a-longs. Each show ends with the Clown’s signature ‘twenty minute musical’, a drag recreation of a legendary musical rehearsed in two days and performed in 20 minutes or less - what could possibly go wrong?!

Fatt Butcher said: “At the end of 2019 something terrible was unleashed on the world that has destroyed lives and permanently altered society as we know it. No, not covid, I’m talking about the movie adaptation of Cats. ‘Andrew Lloyd Webber is responsible for some of the most successful musicals ever produced and also some of the worst, with his most recent show Bad Cinderella having just opened to damning reviews on broadway this felt like the perfect time for the Clowns to give our take on the work of our Lord and Saviour Andrew. If you love the music of Lloyd Webber you’ll have a great time, if you hate the music of Lloyd Webber you’ll have an even better time!”

Manager of the Old Joint Stock Theatre, James Edge, added: “Send in the Clowns are Juggernauts of the Drag and Cabaret world and we are overjoyed to be welcoming them back to the Old Joint Stock in June for what is sure to be there most outrageous and captivating show yet.”
