Musical based on the life of American singer-songwriter Don McLean in the works

‘American Pie’ singer Don McLean has revealed that a new musical based on his life is in the works.

The stage show is currently being developed by Broadway producers Corey Brunish and Russell Miller, and will feature many popular songs from McLean’s extensive back catalogue including ‘Castles in the Air’, ‘Vincent’ and ‘Wonderful Baby’.

The cast and creative team are yet to be announced, although a 2022 release has been cited.
